Vivek and Priyanka: Finally Mr. and Mrs. Oberoi
Rakta Charitra star Vivke Oberoi is no more single as he took the wedding vows with 28-year-old Priyanka Alva yesterday in a farmhouse in Bangalore. Now, it’s the turn of Vivek’s father veteran actor Suresh Oberoi to host a reception for Mr and Mrs Vivek Oberoi in Mumbai on Sunday.
Priyanka is a management graduate from London and is daughter of classical dancer Nandini and late Karnataka Janata Dal-United leader Jeevraj Alva, who passed away in 2001.
The wedding ceremony was performed in both Karnataka and Punjabi style at the Alvas’ sprawling farm house in north Bangalore.
The mehendi and sangeet ceremony took place on Thursday and the ‘barat’ reached Alva house on Friday evening. The wedding day started with the traditional ‘haldi’ ceremony. The bride was smeared with vermillion as it is considered to be very auspicious.
On the wedding ceremony, a selected number of guests were invited with a special invitation card along with chocolates and ganjifa painting.
However, the Sunday’s reception is expected to be attended by all celebrities from Bollywood fraternity including Vivek’s co-stars.
Bollywood can expect a grand reception of Mr and Mrs Oberoi as senior Oberoi was waiting for this big day of his for last few years!

Vivek Oberoi Invites Karnataka CM To His Wedding
Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi is finally tying the knot with his fiancé Priyanka Alva on October 29. There is a buzz that Vivek has already invited the chief minister of Karnataka BS Yeddyurappa for his wedding. Vivek has reportedly personally met the CM to hand over the invitation card. He took an appointment from the CM to meet him at his residence. They had a meeting spanning thirty minutes and Yeddyurappa confirmed to attend the wedding.
The actor sounded very excited while talking about his would-be-wife. Vivek, whose latest movie Rakta Charitra is set to release just a week before his wedding, said that he fell in love with Priyanka at their first meeting itself. He was impressed with Priyanka’s sense of humour. He added that he knew they had a certain connect.
Vivek is in all praise for his lady. The actor claims to have found his soul mate in her. He further said that Priyanka is very understanding and knows his hectic schedule so she does not complain as they will have a delayed honeymoon. He said that any other girl in her place would have thrown tantrums at this but she has understood the situation.
According to Vivek, Priyanka is a nature lover and likes deep sea diving whereas he loves flying planes. So, the actor said that they will go to a place where they can get a taste of both the activities.

Acting Matters Not Language For Vivek Oberoi
Bollywood actor Vivek Oberoi, who has got to play a very powerful role in filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma’s trilingual film Rakta Charitra, feels that acting and expression are more important for him and not the language.
Rakta Charitra is a biopic on Telugu Desam Party leader Paritala Ravi. Vivek plays the role of the protagonist in all the three languages. The shooting for this movie has finished just few days back.
Speaking about the trilingual film, Vivek said that acting is more important than the language of the film. He added that the expression of an actor never changes but language may be. The actor said that emotions are universal, which is more like talking through your eyes.
The director and producer Ram Gopal Varma shot the movie simultaneously in three languages Hindi, Tamil and Telugu. The movie is ready to release in October.
Vivek said that they used to feel a sigh of relief whenever some particular shot was done but at the next moment, they had to shoot the same thing in a different language again.
Well, we understand the pain of the team when they had to shoot the same thing again and again in three different languages. But if the result of the hard work shows off at the Box Office then all their hard work will be paid. For Vivek, it will be double celebration if the movie does well because he is also getting married in October.
